How to Repair an MDF database file of Microsoft SQL Server from the SUSPEND mode

Step-by-step description of repairing Microsoft SQL Server database items of any version from a damaged *.mdf file:

  1. Download, install and open SQL Server Repair Toolbox from the site: https://www.fix-toolbox.com/download/SQLServerRepairToolboxInstall.exe.
  2. Select the damaged *.mdf file on the first page of the program.
  3. Select an export method:
    • Save as SQL scripts to disk
    • Execute SQL script directly in the database
  4. Select the data to be restored and saved.
  5. Click Start recovery.

  • Save the recovered data as a set of SQL scripts. After saving the data as SQL scripts on the hard drive, start the .bat file with the necessary parameters to import the data to a new database or
  • Export the data directly to a new database.
